Mrigashira straddles the end of Taurus and the start of Gemini, from 23°20′ Taurus to 6°40′ Gemini. Its name means "the deer’s head," and its symbol is exactly that — a gentle, alert deer forever searching the forest. This is the nakshatra of the seeker: curious, perceptive, and always in pursuit of something just beyond reach.

Its deity is Soma, the divine nectar of immortality associated with the Moon itself — the elusive, blissful substance the gods chase.
