ज्योतिष · the science of light
Science of Light is a free Vedic astrology (Jyotish) birth chart — built to match the depth of the paywalled professional tools, and to be genuinely understandable to someone seeing their chart for the first time.
Positions are computed sidereally with the Lahiri ayanamsa and validated to the arc-minute against the Swiss Ephemeris — the same gold standard professional software uses. Birth times are resolved with historical time-zone data, including daylight-saving and half-hour zones. See exactly how it’s calculated →
Lite speaks plain English — your rising sign, Moon, and Sun explained like a wise friend. Pro turns on the full classical layer: Sanskrit, dignities, karakas, dashas, shadbala, yogas, divisional charts. Same chart, your choice of depth — no paywall.
No account, no subscription, no database. Your chart lives in your browser. See how your data is handled.
Built with care in Charleston, SC — as a gift to people curious about this ancient craft. Science of Light is made by Holy Automation, and stands on its own.
