Why your sign might be different here.
Western astrology uses the “tropical” zodiac, tied to the seasons. Vedic astrology uses the “sidereal” zodiac, tied to the actual positions of the stars.
Over centuries the two have drifted about 24° apart (an offset called the ayanamsa). The practical result: in Vedic astrology your Sun sign is often the one just before your Western sign.
Don’t worry if your rising sign or Moon sign looks unfamiliar — that’s expected, and it’s not an error.
