Krittika कृत्तिका

Krittika bridges the last of Aries and the first of Taurus, from 26°40′ Aries to 10° Taurus. It corresponds to the Pleiades star cluster, and its symbol is a flame or a sharp blade. This is the nakshatra of fire that cuts and clarifies — burning away what is false to reveal what is true.

Its deity is Agni, the god of fire itself: the sacred flame that purifies, transforms, and carries offerings to the gods. Agni gives Krittika a brilliant, penetrating quality — a willingness to confront, to refine, and to insist on a higher standard.

The planetary ruler is the Sun, which adds dignity, willpower, and a strong sense of purpose. Krittika belongs to the Rakshasa gana, lending it a fierce, formidable edge — not malevolent, but intense, protective, and unafraid of conflict in service of what is right.
