Vedic astrology’s signature timing system.
Most astrology describes who you are. Vedic astrology also tells you when — through dashas, planetary periods that divide your life into chapters, each ruled by a different planet.
The main system, Vimshottari, runs a fixed 120-year cycle set by your birth Moon’s nakshatra. You might spend 16 years in a Venus period, then 19 in a Sun period — each bringing that planet’s themes to the foreground. Inside each large period sit smaller sub-periods (antardashas) — chapters within chapters.
Knowing your current dasha is like knowing the season you’re in: not fate, but the weather you’re working with. The Timing tab shows your current period, what’s next, and your whole life laid out.
